Departure from your hometown/country and arrival in Chennai. Transfer to hotel. Namaste and welcome to India! We will pick you up from Chennai’s International Airport to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be greeted with traditional Indian hospitality. Relax at the hotel. Some paperwork regarding the tour. Visiting some of the important places in Chennai. Day 3 (16 December / 12 January)
Chennai to Mahabalipuram (55 kms, 1/2 hours approx.). After breakfast, start your day with a lovely drive to Mahabalipuram. Visit shore temples and ancient caves regarding Indian mythological history. Walk around the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 4 (17 December / 13 January)
Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry (135 kms, 3/4 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry. Visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Botanical Gardens. Walk around the beach in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 5 (18 December / 14 January)
Pondicherry to Tanjore (Thanjavur) (180 kms, 5/6 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Tanjore. Visit the 11th-century Brihadeeswarar Temple, Art Gallery, and Saraswathi Mahal Library. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 6 (19 December / 15 January)
Tanjore to Rameshwaram (260 kms, 6/7 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Rameshwaram. Visit the renowned Jyotirlingam of Lord Shiva, Agniteertham, and the Five-faced Hanuman Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 7 (20 December / 16 January)
Rameshwaram to Madurai (180 kms, 4/5 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Madurai. Visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 8 (21 December / 17 January)
Madurai to Kanyakumari (240 kms, 5/6 hours approx.). After an early breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari. Check-in to a good hotel and relax. Walk around the city and enjoy the sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 9 (22 December / 18 January)
Kanyakumari to Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) (90 kms, 2/3 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Thiruvananthapuram. Check-in to a nice beach resort and visit Swami Padmanabham Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 10 (23 December / 19 January)
Thiruvananthapuram to Alappuzha (Allepey) (150 kms, 3/4 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Alappuzha. Check-in to a nice backwater houseboat. Spend your evening on a traditionally decorated houseboat (Cruise). Overnight stay in floating luxury villas at backwaters. Enjoy! Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 11 (24 December / 20 January)
Alappuzha to Kochi (Cochin) (55 kms, 1/2 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Kochi. Check-in to a good hotel. Visit Cochin Fort, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Indo-Portuguese Museum, Dutch Cemetery, and Jewish Synagogue. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 12 (25 December / 21 January)
Kochi to Madikeri (Coorg) (370 kms, 9/10 hours approx.). After an early breakfast, drive to Coorg. Check-in to a good hotel. Explore spice and coffee plantations. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 13 (26 December / 22 January)
Madikeri to Chitradurga (281 kms, 6/7 hours approx.). After an early breakfast, drive to Chitradurga. Check-in to a good hotel and relax. Visit Chitradurga Fort. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 14 (27 December / 23 January)
Chitradurga to Hampi (155 kms, 4/5 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Hampi. Check-in to a good hotel and relax. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 15 (28 December / 24 January)
Free day at Hampi. After breakfast, a full day local tour around Hampi. Explore the beautiful architecture of the city. Overnight stay at the same hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 16 (29 December / 25 January)
Hampi to Dharwad (180 kms, 4/5 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Dharwad. Check-in to a good hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 17 (30 December / 26 January)
Dharwad to Goa (Panjim) (160 kms, 4/5 hours approx.). After breakfast, drive to Goa. Check-in to a good hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel/resort. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner.
Day 18-19 (31 December – 1 January / 27-28 January)
Free days at Goa (2 days). Explore this beautiful place for 2 days. Walk/surf around the lovely beaches. Cheers! Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast – Dinner (Farewell dinner on the last day).
Day 20 (2 January / 29 January)
Flight to Mumbai/Chennai. Transfer to Goa airport for a flight to Mumbai/Chennai towards your onward destination. Meals: Morning Tea – Breakfast only. Note: Our responsibility finishes here. Should you want to stay longer in Mumbai/Chennai for local sightseeing around? An additional charge of 200 USD would be required per day per person, which includes accommodation in hotel (double rooms on twin sharing basis), food, local sightseeing, and taxi to the airport.
- Transportation: All transportation costs in India including transfers, pickups, and sightseeing (according to the program).
- Accommodation: Double rooms/houseboat on twin/triple sharing basis.
- Meals: Morning Bed Tea, Breakfast, and Dinner (buffet dinner at the hotel).
- Permits: All costs for inner-line permits regarding restricted areas.
- Staff: Costs for staff including Driver cum guide/professional guide, escort/group leader, helpers, etc.
- Support Vehicle: Support vehicle for staff (in case of big groups).
- Taxes: State tax, toll tax, etc.
- Travel Guidance: Travel guidance throughout the tour.
- International Airfare: Cost for international flights to and from India.
- Visa: Cost for a visa.
- Domestic Flights: Airfare for inland/domestic flights in India (according to the program).
- Insurance: Any medical, travel, or evacuation insurance.
- Airport Tax: Airport tax.
- Tips: Tips to camp staff/staff/driver (entirely a personal gesture).
- Entry Fees: Entry fee to the monuments, audio guide, photography/camera fee, etc.
- Additional Expenses
- Deposit and Payment
- A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the package cost is required.
- The balance payment is due 2 months prior to departure.
- Delay in payment is subject to a penalty of 100 USD per person/package.
- Cancellation Policy
- 50% of the package cost is non-refundable if cancelled 45 days prior to departure.
- 75% of the package cost is non-refundable if cancelled up to 30 days prior to departure.
- 100% of the package cost is non-refundable if cancelled anytime later than 30 days prior to departure.
- In case of late booking, 50% of the entire package cost amount will be received as a non-refundable deposit. The remaining 50% amount should be paid at the time of check-in at the hotel by cash on the first day of arrival. In this plan, the total package will be non-refundable/non-transferable.
- Payment Methods
- Payments can be made through wire transfer to the bank, by cash deposited in any of the bank accounts, or by credit/debit card through the website.
- A 5% surcharge applies to payments made through Master & Visa credit cards. Debit cards, bank transfers, and cheque payments are without any surcharges.
- Travel Insurance
- It is strongly recommended to purchase comprehensive travel insurance before undertaking the trip. The policy should cover loss of deposit, cancellation, additional expenses, accidents, sickness, baggage loss, and evacuation.
- Accommodation
- All rooms are base category rooms unless specified.
- Check-in time is 1400 Hrs and check-out time is 1200 Hrs at all hotels.
- Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.
- In case of non-availability of hotels, similar category hotels will be provided.
- Accommodation supplements are determined by the date the accommodation is occupied and not the departure date.
- Liability
- The tour organizers are not responsible for the supply or services or mishappenings regarding the booking, including any liability for mechanical faults, illness, personal injury, death, loss or damage of any kind, delay, and inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any service providers, travel services, or products or by other third parties unless caused by negligence.
- Any claim for damages for injury, illness, loss, or death must be brought against the relevant supplier of the travel services or products and should be claimed through respective insurance companies.
- Contract
- A contract will exist between the client and each of the suppliers once the deposit or full payment is received and a confirmation letter/voucher/invoice is issued.
- The terms and conditions of each supplier will apply to the booking.
- General Information
- The tour organizers reserve the right to change the itinerary at any point or time when it is deemed advisable for the safety of the group or to comply with government restrictions.
- Services will be provided to the clients in accordance with the booking voucher only.
- Clients must bring along the tour confirmation voucher, valid ID proof, passport, flight tickets, etc.
- Law & Jurisdiction
- These booking terms and conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed by Indian laws and the rules of RBI/Govt. of India.
- Any dispute, claim, or other matter arising in connection with the bookings or contract will be dealt with by the courts and tribunals in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India.
- Additional Charges
- Any optional services and facilities (such as room service, mini bar, snacks, or telephone calls) are not included in the package cost and will be charged at the time of check-out.
- Changes and Amendments
- The tour organizers reserve the right to alter, amend, add, or withdraw any of these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
